"There's no such thing as truth. It's bullshit. Everyone has their own truth, and life just does whatever the fuck it wants."
Wow! This is a movie I never expected to have such an impact on me as I knew nothing about Tonya Harding's story until going into the film today and to be quite honest, it really shocked me what she had to go through in her life. Margot Robbie has delivered such a powerful performance as Tonya along with a great supporting cast including Allison Janney and Sebastian Stan who both acted their socks off.
The fast-paced editing, dialogue and the interview sections leading up to the incident at the end were such a clever addition to the film with some dark humor on the side that made the plot seem less depressing than it actually was. The character dynamics and the way they have been explored was phenomenal, particularly between Tonya and her mother. The film managed to make a clear point about the brutal reality of the sports world.
