Matthew Coaker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Cassel hasn't been this charismatic, dynamic and brilliant since 'La Haine'. A breakneck roller-coaster of a film that actually makes you think there's life in the gangster biopic yet. Cassel presents Mesrine warts and all, making you warm to the character and then be repelled in the next breath. Some of his actions seem almost absurd but we'll happily go along for the ride. Absolutely brilliant stuff.
