Matthew Coaker’s review published on Letterboxd:
For me you can't shake the feeling watching this film that it's garnered such acclaim because it's about a young black homosexual. There's nothing wrong with that obviously, and perhaps that is the film's main importance but it's difficult to then assess the film on it's own feet. There are certainly sections which are extremely moving, particularly the central story of the 3. The film though as a whole is a slight affair, the exceptional performances make you care, but it won't live in the memory for me as a cinematic great.
