Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★

“That was the best acting I’ve ever seen in my whole life.”

While possibly the slowest Quentin Tarantino jaunt since Jackie Brown, it is worth every minute of the two hour setup for one of the best climatic payoffs since Inglorious Basterds.

Tarantino's movies are typically split into acts/chapters with each following a formula that is essentially: copious dialogue first, fcrazy violence second, then on to the next act.

It rarely gets boring because the dialogue is so fantastically orchestrated and the violence is poetic and wonderfully choreographed

Powerhouse performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, with the latter earning a well deserved Oscar.

I don't believe for a second that Tarantino will stop at 10 movies. If he truly does, it will be a sad day in Hollywood.
