RepoJack’s review published on Letterboxd:
My decision tree for watching a new horror streamer, whether it's a new Shudder or Netflix Original is very scientific. I get an email notification, I check a few places for the movie rating (Letterboxd, RT, IMDB), and then I give it a try. My rating system is straightforward:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Masterpiece
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ok. 3.5 - I was definitely entertained
This was ok -- could've been better. It reminded me of Creep and a ton of other vlogger/found footage movies (Cam, Host, etc.)
The AirBnB host is the best part about this. She's completely whackadoodle and the fact that this clueless vlogger couple doesn't figure that out until much later is just lame.
The vlogger couple also have no chemistry at all, and both are essentially unlikeable. But then Barbara Crampton arrives just in time to save the day, and the movie.
Barbara is my queen.
