Seen this one once before. It was a test to see if I was sure I wanted to pick up the Criterion set. Easy decision after seeing 'Sunset'. So, finally going to see the entire trilogy. Sunrise and Sunset tonight. Midnight tomorrow.
The scene where he is driving while looking back at Babe Ruth in the back of the cab had to inspire the scene in Dumb and Dumber. I looked it up on the trivia on imdb and nothing. It did say that their names were Harry and Lloyd because of Harold Lloyd. Makes me think even more that it had to be a nod to Speedy.
Very much looking forward to Criterion release of The Kid Brother in March. All the Harold Lloyd films I've seen have been great.
