RetroHound’s review published on Letterboxd:
A bit scary in 1968, with all the mass shootings nowadays, Targets is downright unsettling. There's no attempt at explaining a motive for the shootings. Just a guy who for some reason cracks.
Boris Karloff is of course excellent and I really liked the use of his old film clips. Bogdonavich is great, if a little mawkish over Howard Hawks.
Targets goes off Netflix Instant on March 1, 2014.
