It very much evokes old Hollywood horror movies. It has a Baby Jane-quality that I appreciated. Joan Crawford would be proud.
Fans of horror and the Universal Monster movies were burned with the disaster that was 2017’s The Mummy, so it’s no surprise folks were initially skeptical of this remake of a monster classic. Believe me, I was there with you.
This is without a doubt the best movie of the year (so far) and without a doubt one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in awhile.
