Shadow of a Doubt

Shadow of a Doubt ★★★½

You can definitely tell this is a Hitchcock film, but you can also see that it's less refined and much more simple than his later more acclaimed work. But while it's more straight forward it does feel quite a bit darker. The ending though was a bit of a letdown.

Shadow of a Doubt is well written, exciting and features that classic Hitchcock suspence. Combined with the great performances by Wright and Cotten this is still a worthy watch for any Hitchcock fan.
