I was a bit late to the party with ‘Parasite’, but I am very glad I saw it. Better late than never. This movie’s writing is incredible, Bong Joon-Ho understood how to set up characters perfectly. He knows how to create a very believable atmosphere between the poor family and the rich family. The way he sets up those two families was fantastic, just in the opening scenes we know everything we need to know about the main family. Later on we find out everything about the rich family. The dialogue was great and the story was completely original and something we haven’t really seen before. The direction is great, the cinematography was fantastic, many shots were very subtle in the camera movement and every shot was beautiful. There was one moment where the camera got a bit shaky but only for a few seconds and nothing important happened in that shot. Everything was so well executed in this movie and ‘Parasite’ is easily one of the best of the year.
