Homesick ★★★½

A well acted, psychologically griping and deliberately awkward look into the relationship of a brother and sister. Whilst the subject matter is undoubtedly taboo, and confronting, there isn't really that much here that elevates this beyond the, "what if" concept.

This film is carried by some gorgeous visuals and some fine acting, but overall is let down by its, at times, trudging plot. This was my opening film that I watched for the 2015 Scandi Film Festival, at Cinema Paradiso in Perth.
