Ricardo Franco’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is as just fine as a movie can be. For the record I almost gave this movie 3 stars but then Bad Guy dropped during the credits and so did the rating.
The kid and Elizabeth Banks are fine, but all the characters are paper thin. This movie is completely plot driven and it makes us not give a damn. I was honestly rooting for the kid by the end of this, I was so annoyed by this whole “world”.
The premise is interesting, but it’s executed so poorly. The fact that the kid is just evil is so lazy. At least give him some motivation, let him go Carrie on everyone.
