    Okay, three things first:

    1. Yes, the "we are Americans" line is corny and unnecessary.
    2. I guessed the final twist right at the beginning of the movie, which isn't great.
    3. I don't think the twist holds up at all. It doesn't feel like the rest of the movie was written with the twist in mind. There's obviously no need for Red to explain anything at all about the Tethered to Adelaide. Those scenes simply make no sense in…

    Captain Marvel

I've outgrown most of these superhero movies. Nowadays, it has to be something special for me to connect with, and in my opinion, "Captain Marvel" just wasn't it. The worst movie I've seen in years and the worst summer blockbuster I've seen since 2002's "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones". At least "Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull" had the killer ant sequence. I can't think of a single standout scene in "The Amazing Spider-Man".

I thought it was dreadfully dull, if I had been a kid I would have been bored out of my skull. It's some of the laziest plotting I've ever seen.…
