It took me ages to get into it but the second half really picked it up for me. This isn't exactly my cup of tea but the script was very good so the dialogue and by extention, the characters felt very real and that was really good. It's strange though because I think it deserves the rating I gave it but my enjoyment factor is a bit lower. It will deserve the awards buzz when it gets it though because there was some quality filmmaking at play here.
I, like many, only watched this because it was Chadwick's final performance and he went out with a bang. His performance here was brilliant, whenever be was on screen I was fixated and when he talked I latched onto every line. To begin with I thought maybe the Oscar rumours around him were just to do with his death but I think he's in with a real shot with that performance.
