Action packed crime thriller with a tremendously one-dimensional taciturn Stath performance at its dark heart.
Brilliantly intruiging and constantly suspenseful, it switches perspectives numerous times to build character affinity, develop mulpitple narrative threads and layer story in anticipation of a climactic heist.
Stath says about twelve sentences in the entire film but his frowny forehead does the work of ten thespians. It's magnificent. Although, the sustained focus shift away from him at the end of the second act feels a little disappointing, purely because his character's so gloriously enigmatic.
Still a great watch, with good actors, and an incredible third act shoot out. Overall, a rock solid, very enjoyable crime thriller. Would revisit.
