It's just a fun movie with a message. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. and it doesn't fail to acknowledge "Groundhog Day."
The cinematography is great. The music is disappointing; it's mostly a score of ambience with the exception of a few moments. Plus it is almost constant throughout the film and I found myself straining to hear dialogue at times as a result. I also didn't find myself as engaged in the characters and story as I had hoped.
I love Christopher Nolan but I didn't love this film.
I enjoyed the simplicity of this film and I thought the acting was spot on. I had read that the film "isn't what you think it is" going into it. That's fine by me, I don't mind being surprised. I was genuinely excited to see it!
