    ★★½

A totally disposable dramatization of the real-life kidnapping that ultimately proves much less interesting than its troubled production and, of course, the notoriously dysfunctional Getty family.

HBO's latest Levinson true crime scandal biopic is a super lean and hyper-focused portrait of the consequences of lionizing powerful men over protecting the public interest. How it explores complicity and priorities of education, sports, and protecting childen is harrowing yet purposely unsatisfying.
