Ok so I don’t even care if I’m coming off hyperbolic here but damn, holy shit... so basically this is a self contained psychological thriller/neo-noir western but seen through the lens of Star Wars massive operatic scale. This is the kind of film that serves as a reminder of why i watch films in the first place. This is the most risky and ballsy film in the whole series and anyone who complained about Force Awakens “playing it safe” is probably gonna lose their shit here.
Fuck it I’m saying it, they actually topped Empire. This is my favourite Star Wars film...
