    Confidentially Yours

An homage to Hitchcock and I absolutely loved it. Really engaging and well-structured. Not once boring throughout the run-time. The love/hate relationship between the two leads was perfectly written and played. And most importantly I loved that it had a female main character that was intelligent, competent and stunning at the same time. Deserves more attention.

Perfectly captures how ridiculous bureaucracy is. Depicts how capitalism and money affect people. It shows how greedy humans are and how easily anger as well as jealousy can spread. When in the end the important things can't be bought with money. A strong film that even though it is set in Senegal is universally applicable.

This is the greatest film ever made and that's not up to debate. If you don't like little miss sunshine, I don't like you.

    Chungking Express

I have always been drawn to films about loneliness. About emptiness, isolation and hopeless love. About people who are simply lost. Because no matter how abstractly they're written or how far away they're living there is always something deeply relatable in their struggles. Chungking express is all that and so much more. It draws from deep rooted melancholy. Poses questions about love and how everything will ineffably end one day. I could completely lose myself in it. In every spoken word, every action and every song. It's like this film talked to me. I'm at loss of words.
