Someone recommended me this movie telling me this is very 'creepy'. Well, for me it is not, it's a lot more than that. The movie 'American Beauty' effectively portrays what insecurities could lead to, how it gets passed on from parents to kids and how childhood trauma could affect one's life. Understanding this movie from a psychological point of view is important otherwise it wouldn't make sense to the viewer and that's the reason it seems to be disliked by some of the audiences.

So here we are talking about a Stephen King's Adaptation. I would say it is a nice sequel of the shining, it is more sophisticated and interesting than the prequel.
From the outlook of a book reader, it is just an amazing story! (i haven't read both of the Kings books) but from the perspective of a film viewer I expect the ending to be more thrilling as Abra has an extraordinary amount of powers and Rose has sucked in…
