    Spooky Season 2020

Saint Maud was my first taste of an artsy festival-type film in the cinema and I (unlike my Grandad who isn't a fan of these types of films and ones that "end out of nowhere") really enjoyed it. I went in after only seeing the trailer vaguely and having a simple idea of what it was about but I read the positive reviews and was rather interested in watching it.

First off, I loved the fact it…

Bill & Ted Face the Music

Bill & Ted Face the Music manages to pick up the series 20+ years after the last one as if it was only a few years ago and does it in an excellent fashion.

This film was pure fun! I loved every minute with of it and had a wide smile on my face for the majority of it. The characters were very likeable and the humour hit quite a few times making me laugh out loud which is always good.…

    Spooky Season 2020

This was a proper Halloween film and it shows exactly what I love about the event. I liked each individual story of this anthology even though they vary in quality. The spooky ideas shine through, the atmosphere was perfect and the music helped it nicely along the way. I just wish it was longer. An hour and 20 for a film this good is a travesty and I hope this gets a follow-up one day.

    Spooky Season 2020

Nice classic slasher film, I wish there was more tension as it was very much like 'normal, normal, kill' which didn't change up the formula in any way. The characters weren't good as per usual but thankfully they weren't the worst I've seen. The kills themselves were fine but they weren't scary and they just get killed out of nowhere pretty much. I did enjoy it though, it definitely had some really good ideas it just needed to be fleshed out more.

Now I own this it seemed only right to introduce it to my Dad (sounds like getting married) but he thought it was great - he gave it an 8/10 which is fantastic. There's something so pure about showing a film you love to someone else for the first time, especially if they like it.

For me this film gets better with every viewing. The cinematography really stood out to me this time, Chazelle knows exactly where to put the…

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Very random and so politically incorrect that some of the jokes were hard to listen to but some of it was really funny and I had a good time watching it. Sacha Baron Cohen delivers an excellent performance as the titular character and absolutely dissapears into the role which was fantastic as he wasn't Baron Cohen - he was just Borat.
