How different really are Detective Loki and Keller and their actions? Are they supposed to be some weird inverted mirror images of each other? (Also, Detective Loki is one of the most ridiculous character names I have ever seen.)
Making the crime itself come full circle sort of deadens some of the society-related thematic heft to this movie. Because now Keller seems justified after the fact, and problematizing that starts to make you look like a humorless dork...unless you grapple…
