    Band Baaja Baaraat

I realize I never reviewed this masterpiece in full. As I am currently procrastinating, what better time than now...

I remember asking my sister who actually won the Filmfare Award for Best Film back in 2011. I was surprised when the answer was the slightly obscure, very random Band Baaja Baaraat.

I saw it that year and fell absolutely in love with it. I finally buckled down and learned Hindi that year. BBB was one of the biggest motivations and…

    Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

two bollynerds live out a weird mix of rockstar & jab we met, with a healthy dose of karan johar's obsession with ultrarich, entitled, and weirdly aggressive men.

but, on the other hand, it has a banging soundtrack and the side cast has 3 of the hottest people alive -- lisa haydon, fawad khan, and aishwarya rai.

  • The Sound of Music

    The Sound of Music

I really don't like musicals, but since this is a classic, I felt obligated to try watching it in full as an adult.

I fell asleep twice... I don't mean to say this is a bad movie. The visuals are gorgeous & Julie Andrews makes this film infinitely better than it would be without her.

But then she sings less in the 2nd half than she does in the 1st and... Meh. The first hour is better than the next two.

Also, it all takes place during a summer???? It was like 3 years, at least.
