robbie’s review published on Letterboxd:
i kind of loved how absolutely untethered to a storyline this movie was and how it somehow stayed airy and inconsequential while also portraying an attempted suicide (via drinking shampoo), an almost teen pregnancy, both a disparaging and progressive view of the adult film industry, and the dissolution of a fairly healthy relationship.
what on earth was happening in the early 2000s that someone greenlit this movie for $35m? please return us to those days.
p.s. this is probably objectively a bad movie, but i loved its unrelenting weirdness.
