I don’t really know what this was trying to achieve. Yeah, it’s a slasher so it doesn’t need to achieve much but it’s like it wanted to make a point but it didn’t actually put any thought into it, nor did it really add anything to the previous instalment.

Still an unreal test of a viewer. The cyberpunk blueprint is torn apart as the film plunges into the genre with a relentless aggression. The film is about experimentation but finds normality in being a formal experiment of the very medium it exists within. Every part of this film is tiring as it exhausts you mentally with it’s unrelenting presentation. A true marvel of cinema.

If someone told me this was an unseen short from Tsukamoto or Fukui I’d believe them, and the fact that it isn’t, shows the amount of love and care that has gone into it. The detail to replicating that era of cyberpunk work is amazing, with enough character to still be its own work.
