Quarantine Watch #97
"I heard about you. Didn't think you were real." - Cyborg
"I'm real when it's useful." - Batman
If you say this film and the previous bastardized cut are the same, not only is that facetious, but that makes you a bad critic.
I never thought I'd see the day where this film was released.
'Man of Steel' is a somewhat enjoyable origin story that crumbles under its incessant need for world-ending destruction, tossing Superman's desire to…
Revisiting this film is fascinating after the years that have passed since its release. Fandom declared war on itself, Warner declared war with its directors, and Zack Snyder as a person had suffered a tragedy. With the upcoming release of his true vision coming to life, my opinion has evolved beyond my hate that was born back in 2016.
The Theatrical Cut is abysmal....and yet....the Ultimate Edition rises.
Now, this isn't a full-fledged heel turn opinion right into…
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The wisest decision this film made was to withhold the truth from its marketing. The trailer sold a project that involved a girl who wasn't gifted like her family. This came across as a generic retread of other animated projects.
This is NOT the plot of the film. Thank God.
This isn't about accepting yourself no matter how special or unspecial you are or whatever blah blah blah most kids films say. What this is really about is entirely unique…
Thoroughly entertaining and laughably BAD!!! The bigger issue here isn't that it's "so bad, it's good", it's actually that it's lazily made. Ridley, buddy, what are you doing?
'House of Gucci' is just like the product replicas that are being sold at 75% of the cost, in other words, it's surprisingly cheap & tacky.
With the amount of talent on screen and behind it, this shouldn't have been so cookie-cuttery. This film feels like it was made in a factory rather…
'Thor: The Dark World', 'The Incredible Hulk', and unfortunately, 'Eternals'. The trifecta of Marvel Studios meh.
I went into this as open-minded as possible, and now that the credits have rolled, I can honestly say this is one of the weakest Marvel Studios films ever made.
Now, this isn't a review that will bash this into the ground. Instead, this is a unique situation compared to both 'Dark World' and 'Hulk' because the issues plaguing this film are far from…
This is going to be a divisive film amongst critics. Some may like it, others may think it's just okay, but a lot of them will HATE this. General audiences however, they're gonna LOVE this.
'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' is just like its namesake, a product of a bygone era that has stayed here way past its expiration date.
Look, I have to be very upfront with you, and this may shock you...
...'Ghostbusters (1984)' is good but it's not great, there,…
