Ohh, I still believe... that this is the coolest fucking vampire movie!! The Lost Boys is definitely up there with some of my all-time favourites. The entire cast is phenomenal, the soundtrack is killer, the 80s fashion on display is so incredible, and on top of all that it's still pretty damn gory.

Nicolas Cage dancing while playing pinball is such a vibe. Anyway, I kinda had fun with this colourful flick. Yeah it's pretty fucking dumb, but what do you expect from a movie where an unhinged Nic Cage curb stomps an animatronic gorilla into a urinal? This isn't high art by any means.

Yeah it certainly has plenty of charm, if not slightly problematic by today's standards, but I think I've missed the boat on this one. Don't get me wrong, I thought the story was fun and the monsters were great, but had I first watched this when I was young I'd most likely be frothing on it heaps more.

This 50s b-movie homage wrapped in an 80s college flick is a whole heap of fun!! Sure it can be kinda cheesy at times but that just adds to the appeal, plus it's filled with solid one-liners, loads of awesome practical effects, and some pretty sweet last names for the main characters.
