The first half of this movie isn’t really a horror movie it’s more of a family tragedy with horror elements sprinkled in. In fact this whole movie could be restructured to be solely a family drama.
It’s like a modern day version of The Witch mixed with Poltergeist, The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby, The Killing of a Sacred Deer and a dash of Audition for good measure.
A brilliantly crafted horror movie, one that will likely go down as one of the all time greats.
