Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame

I'm going to need to watch this again before writing a proper review.

Some loose thoughts:
- This movie made me cry twice. I can count the list of movies that have made me cry at all on one hand.
- The denouement is without question the best storytelling of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Cutting twenty minutes from this film would not have been hard.
- I didn't think Age of Ultron was too quippy. Endgame is too quippy.
- This very much feels like a definitive ending to this universe, to the point where it might be doing future Marvel films a disservice.
- For a story that consists largely of fanservice, it's remarkable how well it all works. That said, New York City and most of Thor's scenes are the very definition of overindulgent.
- 100% down for a Hawkeye movie.
- Twenty-two films is far too long to wait for so little as an unnamed LGBT side-character but hey, progress.
