The cgi was pretty bad at points, had some genuinely good dramatic moments here and there, the “climax” was underwhelming though, and it ended pretty abruptly after the climax and felt incomplete.

They may have rushed to get the reshoots done, but it still turned out to be a very solid film.
We've seen greed represented in film before, but not quite like this. Usually greed is represented as wealth driving the greedy man to madness (i.e. There Will Be Blood, Citizen Kane) and here it is represented as a sense of security used to justify the greedy man's lack of responsibility to help others.
I find it funny that the title is actually said in dialogue at a few points in the movie.
