Cool Runnings is one of those movies I just keep coming back to year after year. It was a childhood favourite and it still makes me smile to this day. Always an enjoyable watch.

I remember not liking this when I first watched it. For whatever reason, it just didn’t work for me. Watching it now, it’s clear to see that Shane Black made one of Marvel’s best sequels. It also worth noting that is distinctly a Shane Black. People talk about Marvel homogonizing all there films, and while they do a certain extent, this is clearly a Shane Black film.

"Logan, you still have time."
I can think of only one word to describe this film: brutal. Emotionally, physically and just brutal. Wolverine is a difficult character to portray and Hugh Jackman has perfected his portrayal over the last 15 years. But in Logan, we see almost a new take from Jackman. The R rating certainly loosened the reigns but they seem to have been able to take away from the comfort zone that they've been in.

I woke up this morning and there was a new Cloverfield movie and I was very excited. What little hype I had was quickly squashed.
This movie has no ide what it wants to be. There’s a bit of everything with nothing really holding all together. There’s hints of some good stuff here, Elizabeth Debicki’s introduction is interesting, but most of it are sci-for/horror tropes that don’t pay off. It’s a shame because…
