Noises Off... ★★★½

The handful contemporaneous reviews of this are so dismissive! They all sort of take the point of view that duplicating such a perfectly choreographed crackerjack stage farce is a folly, and sure, Bogdanovich gets off a handful of good moments, but it's all so flat compared to the stage. But the camera choreography in this movie is INSANE, especially in the middle section where we're watching the play unfold, and then fall apart, from a backstage vantage. It doesn't really come together that well (no obvious solution to the fact that the play's third, abject failure run-through here is kind of tedious without being as funny as it should be), but it's vastly funnier and more fun than its rep suggests.
