  • Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

    ★★★★½

Watched this a few days ago but forgot to review it until now. I can’t believe it took me this long to watch it considering how much Monty Pythontent (Python content) I consume on a yearly basis. Definitely a longer joke pacing than their other films, probably because it’s later in their career. What a way to end Monty Python. And the music!!! So catchy.

  • Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro

Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro

    ★★★★

Only the second Miyazaki I’ve ever seen (other one is Kiki’s Delivery Service)—will definitely be checking out more. Loved the clear James Bond/Indiana Jones vibes. Such a stylish movie as well!

  • The Muppet Christmas Carol

    The Muppet Christmas Carol

    ★★★★½

Michael Caine gave an insanely good performance for a MUPPET movie. This one was directed by Jim Henson’s son so the charisma is really still there. Nice and cute watch!

  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

    ★★★★★

“How do you know he’s a king?“

“He hasn’t got shit all over him.”

Can’t overstate the effect this movie has had on my sense of humor throughout my life. Even as my tastes change, this remains a constant source of laughter for me. We even named my childhood dog Zoot :)

A Grand Night In: The Story of Aardman

    ★★★

Basically an ad for Aardman but I liked seeing how some childhood staples came to be.

  • Ocean's Thirteen

    Ocean's Thirteen

    ★★★★★

The same charisma and style as the first one but with +1 Al Pacino. Morally I cannot give this anything less than 5 stars.

  • Hobgoblins

    Hobgoblins

    ★★

Somehow even though this movie is from the 80s it looks like every character is wearing Party City 80s costumes. Even the goblins!
