Really enjoyed this. Simon Rex makes a great scumbag. He used to be an MTV VJ which makes too much sense. I love movies where the main character is a total jackass. It sometimes seems like movies don’t do that anymore!! Everyone’s afraid to write a bad guy!!! A guy who sucks but is interesting to watch! Great acting and great slice of life piece.

    Jackass: The Movie

I haven’t seen this since I was in elementary/middle school (on a tiny portable DVD player of course) and I like it just as much now as I did then. This was a defining movie of my childhood. It showed me how cool it was to be an adult: not because I wanted to do any of the stunts but because they had the freedom to do so. They could kick each others’ asses and shove toy cars up their…

  • The Matrix Resurrections

    The Matrix Resurrections

Oh man I really enjoyed this. I’m glad we got to see more Neo and Trinity action and that the fourth kept the same priority as the first three (love, of course). It knows exactly who it’s for and exactly who it isn’t for in a way that the Wachowski sisters have down pat. The allusions to the past generation of characters in this new generation are tasteful and clever. Most importantly Carrie-Anne Moss is still as hot as ever.

Really cool stuff in here. Some of the CG was a bit cheesy but I really liked the 2d animations and the various dream sequences. Trippy!

Kicks ass. I watched this for the first time when I was a kid and hated it because of the animal death. But upon second watch, 15 or so years later, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed this campy lil flick. And holy shit so many people are in it.

  • Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Excellence. Every soon-to-be-out-of-the-closet gay girl watching this growing up saw Jessica Rabbit and went “uh oh.” Always a fun watch.
