i heard films are good for the soul
some real real good movie. left me so heartbroken but most of the time, i was just in awe of how the plot goes, how the sound design was so well-thought out, and how incredible riz ahmed's performance was. the silence just makes you stop for a while like it lets you give a piece of what people who have hearing problems go through. it's a beautiful movie and i hope this and riz ahmed continue to get more recognition!!
the ending and those last shots are so captivating and it was honestly so satisfying for thomasin! and speaking of thomasin, anya taylor joy is a wonder and nails the role perfectly. props to the people behind the camera, cause the music, cinematography and editing are spot on and gave me the goosebumps. it was quite a very impressive directorial debut, i'm a huge fan of robert eggers now!
