    ★★★½

This is by no means a small undertaking, and Flanagan does an admirable job of balancing the different allegiances  this film has. ★★★

I feel like I want to rate this higher because it’s hilarious and so much fun to watch, but also so much of it feels to be in such questionable taste - not in the enjoyable, fun, subversive manner of speaking. Just questionable.

Considering how brutal and difficult to watch this is, it’s kind of amazing I’m writing this after seeing it for a fifth time. This movie pretends to have a lot on its mind when in actuality it has very little going on under the surface, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
