  far more a celebration of the essence and mystique of Elvis than a deep dive into his actual life. thrilling at times, but overlong. tom hanks' performance is nearly as bad as austin butler's is great.

  this was DELIGHTFUL. i was a little hesitant early on but after the rock scene I was 100% bought in.

  this might move up to 5 stars after a second watch at home. had a really miserable theater experience (AMC suuuuucks)

  I think I would've enjoyed this more if last year's The Green Knight wasn't still so fresh in my mind. Both ostensibly deconstructions of mythical heroism, that film just worked so much better for me.
