Welles' compression of two of Shakespeare's plays (plus a bit of a third) into one single movie is never less than a marvel. Hilarious, moving, confounding, it's the full five course meal of a movie.
OK, sure, the post-dubbed sound might be a distraction -- lip-synch is occasionally off and in a couple of places it's just plain non-existent, and I guess I can see that some folks could be distracted by it. And to those folks I have a message. Get over it.
