The whole thing feels like just endless scenes of people coming and going, opening and closing doors, going up and down stairs, greeting each other formally, putting on and taking off clothes, standing in rows. And then there's this very tense relationship running all the way through it that grows stranger and stranger. Sumptuous art design, great acting, but the first half was rather boring, slow, and confusing.
