i first saw this film years ago and fell in love with it.
the book is equally as blunt and to the point, which i adored. the cinematography and ayoade’s style is wonderful. scene transitions are lovely. i always wanted to be as cool as jordana; shes so blunt at first until you see her later on with the other boy and you realise, shes only presented that way, emotionless, because thats how oliver sees her. not to mention, alex day’s flawless soundtrack and the super8 footage.
