definition of second hand embarrassment
Hard to rate because of the differences between each short. How I would grade each :
Scorsese’s is 3 stars,
Coppola’s is 1 star,
Allen’s is 3 and a half star.
Overall it’s a disappointment for a project involving three of the most renowned directors of the century, I wished they extended the stories or developed them in full length movies (except Coppola’s, scrap that one and never talk about it again).
This is way more enjoyable than I thought it'd be. Bueller's character is actually very nuanced, and not the egotistical teenager some see him as. His friendship with Cameron and love for Sloane are genuine : he wants to share a day with them, entertain them, knowing that soon they won't have this freedom. Some of the plot feels more childish, but it often hits home.
