  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

    ★★★½

Enjoyable end to this very flawed trilogy. It’s just too bad that Rey is an awful, annoying protagonist otherwise I would have enjoyed all three films more. Take a shot every time Finn has to stop her from doing something stupid, you’ll be dead by the end of the film. Adam Driver as Kylo Ren is still the best part of the trilogy.

  • The Night Before

  • Lady Bird

    Lady Bird

    ★★★½

Lady Bird is an incredibly interesting film for me because it is one that I feel has been hyped to a very surprising extent. What I mean by that is that I doesn’t really feel like it would be a film to get quite as much attention and positive press as it has, yet here we are. I’m sorry. I think its overrated. Granted, I still think it’s very good, but I also think it’s very flawed.

    First what I…

  • Children of the Corn

    Children of the Corn

    ★★★½

Look. I know this film has not aged well. It’s cheesy. The acting is not good. The editing sucks. But if you want a fun, cheesy time too celebrate the Halloween season, you can’t go wrong with this. It’s goofy and sloppily made but man, it is the perfect Halloween movie. There is nothing in here that will frighten you, but it emulates classic childhood feelings of Halloween. Issac is hilariously bad, but that just adds to the midnight feature…

  • Long Shot

    Long Shot

    ★★★½

I keep swaying between a 3.5 and a 4 manly because of some kind really, for a lack of a better term, cringe worthy. There is a scene near the end where there is chanting and one character literally yells WAKANDA FOREVER!!! Like come on really. This same character also comments on the fact that he is at the “whitest” party ever. I’m pretty sure he says something along the lines of “Me, the waiters and the band are literally…

***SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS ENDGAME AND SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME***
This was very good don’t get me wrong, it was not without it’s flaws though and it makes me nervous for the future of the MCU...I will explain in a moment. It also pails in comparison to Homecoming. But there is a lot of good stuff here so we will get to that too.

Ok first and foremost my flaws. The cinematography is incredibly lackluster. Very flat with no style, you…

  • The Dead Don't Die

    The Dead Don't Die

    ★★★½

The film is far from perfect, but if you allow yourself to just sit back and enjoy it, I would find it hard not to have fun with it. There are many glaring writing issues, many plot lines do not get resolved or simply serve no point to the plot. But putting that aside, this film is still a blast. The cast is great. Bill Murray and Adam Driver have great chemistry, Steve Buscemi and Tilda Swinton are really funny…

  • Aladdin

    Aladdin

    ★★★½

If you read my reveiw for the 1992 Aladdin you would know that I am not the biggest fan of that film, but something you may not know is that I really HATE these new Disney live action remakes. So needless to say I walked into this film with little to no expectations, if this was anything like the Beauty and The Beast remake I knew that I was going to hate it. I was compleatly surprised however, to find…

  • Aladdin

    Aladdin

    ★★★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Aladdin is definatly far from my favourite Disney film, in fact I think that this movie is incredibly overrated. I was surprised to find that the film really dragged at times. Watching Aladdin pretend to be a real prince to impress Jasmine was boring, because these two characters have no chemestry. Much like the early Disney films, this is a case where the hero falls in love with the princess at first sight. I am aware that this is an…
