Timothy Lawrence’s review published on Letterboxd:
Extremely gnarly, fingernail-gnawingly suspenseful, and ultimately quite bleak, but just far enough removed from reality that it’s a lot of fun, too. There is so much to admire here – the cinematography, the score, the effects – but what stuck out to me most this time around is the humor. The script doesn’t go out of its way to contrive one-liners, it merely seasons the dialogue with little, sharply observed moments of dry wit that ease the tension without undermining it. Garry’s response to the results of the blood test is perfect.
