I like movies
As a sequel to a horror film, this is a pretty good movie.
The movie is naturally less scary than the original, due to the fact that it expands upon, and inherently demystifies the events of the first movie. But the continued plot is very fitting and works extremely well as a Part 2 to the story. I truly wanted to like this more than I did. What starts out as a fantastic piece of psychological horror unfortunately loses its footing in the latter half of the film. This inability to stick the narrative’s landing unfortunately undoes some of the great horror moments that come before. But for a decent chunk of its runtime, this is a genuinely creepy and unsettling horror film.
