My Blind Brother ★★★½

A delightful little mumblecore-ish rom com debut for writer-director Sophie Goodhart. Despite its classically farfetched premise of comedic misunderstanding, the movie manages to sustain a tone that doesn't completely veers off to become neither Farrelly Brothers type nor more of a self-serious dramedy, being able to auspiciously explore the talents of its cast. Nick Kroll is a surprisingly charismatic and sympathetic leading man (which might have something to do with me relating a little too much with his protagonist), Adam Scott is always reliable when it comes to playing assholes and Jenny Slate shows what an utterly insane sacrilege the fact that she's still isn't that big of a star three years after 'Obvious Child' is.
