The Second Mother

The Second Mother ★★★★½

A great film lead by a endlessly amiable central character, but far from growing hostage to its main (incredible) performance. The only reasonably relevant nitpick about the movie lays in the construction of the character of the "first mother". She comes off a little too villainy for the sake of tension, and diminishes the possibility of the picture to spark a reflection in many people who are lime her to some extent.
