Robin Solsjö Höglund’s review published on Letterboxd:
I felt like seeing this again too. Simply put a wildly successful sequel that builds on an original foundation with new characters that feel like real teenagers with real problems (and the teen suicide theme is handled exceptionally well, without becoming an infomercial). The script was worked on by both Craven and Frank Darabont, among others, so that explains it. Great special effects, sadistic death sequences and Dokken music! Growing up I had a crush on Taryn, and the nurse scene was like a wet dream that turned into a nightmare. Even Heather Langenkamp's acting is a bit better in this, and Patricia Arquette has a fantastic scream. Right now I'll pretend like 4 - 6 never happened.
