Ryan St. Hilaire’s review published on Letterboxd:
A slow, brooding, brutal western. Was expecting a much more straight forward approach to the western genre, and this is anything but. A wonderfully written, competently acted, and beautifully directed piece of work. Honestly, some of the writing here feels almost Tarantino-esque. Despite a fairly slow, yet not uninteresting start, this film shines on almost all fronts. Gradually getting darker and darker, the tension rises and rises, to what i believe to be one of the most shocking, cringe worthy, and downright disgusting (in the best way possible) finales in years. Seriously can't wait to watch this with some friends, awaiting some excellent reactions. Will definitely be purchasing this on blu ray, and a re-watch is in place.
