Robert Motherwell’s review published on Letterboxd :
Delightfully charming character study of a young woman trying to live and establish her identity. Beautifully photographed in b/w and supremely well edited from start to finish. Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig clearly dug deep on the script for this one and the work pays off nicely. Smart and telling, even moving storytelling-the fact that Frances is a dancer only helps the visual image of this subtle celebration of life.
Only thing that holds it back from masterpiece status is Frances's overbearing personality at several key moments in the film.
