    WOW!

  • The Batman

    The Batman 2022

Watched by RTurek 17 Apr 2022

Seven and Heat (and that scene from Halloween) rolled into Batman couldn’t be more my thing.

  • Ambulance

    Ambulance 2022

But what happened to that giant dog?

  • Blades

    Blades 1989

Watched by RTurek 07 Nov 2021

I'm very happy Blades exists and that this "sight unseen" purchase from Vinegar Syndrome paid off. The two leads are stiff, but this Jaws knock-off is so lovably tacky. Bravo to the cinematographer (television vet James Hayman) and his team for keeping things visually fun.

  • Arsenic and Old Lace

    Arsenic and Old Lace 1944

Rewatched by RTurek 31 Oct 2021

“Insanity runs in my family. Practically gallops.”

One of my favorite films of all time.

  • The Mummy's Curse

    The Mummy's Curse 1944

    Tana leaves!

  • House of Wax

    House of Wax 2005

Rewatched by RTurek 10 Oct 2021

Holds up. One of my favorite horror films of the aughts. Love the scope, the Texas Chainsaw, Tourist Trap and House of Wax ingredients, love the soundtrack (no shame).

  • Halloween: Resurrection

    Halloween: Resurrection 2002

Rewatched by RTurek 04 Oct 2021

The one where Michael has finally settled down but finds himself up against some home invaders with cameras.

  • Death Screams

    Death Screams 1982

Watched by RTurek 25 Sep 2021

One of those slashers that has a lot of quirky “hang time” (which I really don’t mind). When the kills do come they are with urgency and a mean streak. Save for the sheriff and the coaching assistant, every dude looked identical. There’s a wide shot in the opening kill that’s pretty wild.

  • Malignant

    Malignant 2021

Rewatched by RTurek 12 Sep 2021

So wild, I had to see it again right away.

  • The Creature Walks Among Us

The Creature Walks Among Us 1956

Rewatched by RTurek 11 Sep 2021

It still hurts my heart when the Creature discovers he can’t breathe underwater.

  • Black Roses

    Black Roses 1988

Watched by RTurek 30 Aug 2021

A revelation. Thank you for streaming, Shudder.
